Privacy policy

What this site collects, what it does not, and how to have your data deleted. Last reviewed October 2026.

Who runs this site

Shake & Print is published by Selena Hann. For any question about data on this site, email contact@shakeandprint.com — it reaches the owner directly.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they are. Google sets cookies and processes this data on our behalf.

  • What it tells us: page views, how people arrived, approximate location at country or region level, device type, and which buy links are clicked.
  • What it does not tell us: your name, your email, your exact location, or anything that identifies you personally.
  • Why we collect it: to know which pages are useful and which are not. There is no other purpose and we do not sell it.
  • How to prevent it: use a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts, or Google's own opt-out. The site works identically either way, and nothing on it is gated behind analytics consent.

Google's own handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy rather than ours, and we have no access to anything beyond the aggregated reports.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you type are emailed to the site owner. That is the whole mechanism — there is no database, no CRM and no mailing list.

  • What we do with it: read it and reply if a reply is needed.
  • What we do not do with it: add you to any list, pass it to anyone, or use it for marketing of any kind.
  • How long we keep it: as long as the email sits in an inbox. Ask us to delete it and we will.
  • Spam protection: the form records the time the page loaded and includes a hidden field that real visitors never fill in, and the server keeps a short-lived count of submissions per IP address to limit automated abuse. None of that is stored beyond the request.

Affiliate links

When you click a buy link, you pass through a redirect on this site and arrive at Amazon with our affiliate tag attached. Amazon uses that tag, and its own cookies, to attribute the visit to us if you buy something.

  • We do not learn who you are. The attribution happens inside Amazon's systems and we see only aggregate earnings reports.
  • We do not learn what you bought in any identifiable way.
  • The redirect itself is not indexed and sets no cookie of its own.
  • Amazon's cookies and data handling are governed by Amazon's privacy policy, not ours. If you would rather not be tracked by them, do not click through — every product on this site can be searched for directly.

There is more detail about how the links work on the affiliate disclosure page.

What we do not do

Stated explicitly, because a privacy policy is more useful for what it rules out than what it permits.

  • No user accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no password stored anywhere.
  • No newsletter or mailing list. We do not collect email addresses for marketing and there is no subscribe form on this site.
  • No payments. Nothing is sold here. You buy from Amazon, and we never see payment details.
  • No advertising network. No display ads, no ad-network cookies, no retargeting pixels, no behavioral profiling.
  • No social media tracking pixels. No Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no LinkedIn tag.
  • No selling or sharing of data. We have nothing to sell and would not.
  • No first-party database of readers. There is no server-side store of anything about you.

Cookies

The only cookies this site causes are Google Analytics ones, and any that Amazon sets after you arrive there. We set none of our own for any purpose.

Blocking cookies entirely does not break anything here: the site is static pages, and nothing on it requires a cookie to read.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its processing.

In practice, the only data we hold that could identify you is an email you have sent us. Ask us at contact@shakeandprint.com and we will delete it. For analytics data, Google is the processor and its own tools and policy govern access and deletion.

Children

This site is written for adults buying gifts and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe a child has sent us a message, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If what this site does with data changes — a newsletter, an account system, an advertising network — this page will be updated before that change goes live, not after. Last reviewed October 2026.

Questions people ask

Does Shake & Print collect my personal data?

Only if you email us or use the contact form, in which case we hold the message in an inbox. Otherwise the site uses Google Analytics to count visits, which does not identify you personally. There are no accounts, no newsletter and no reader database.

Do you use cookies?

We set none of our own. Google Analytics sets cookies to count visits, and Amazon sets its own after you click through to it. Blocking cookies entirely does not break anything here, because the site is static pages.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. We have no reader database to sell, no advertising network, no retargeting pixels and no social media tracking tags. Nothing about you is passed to anyone.

What happens when I click an affiliate link?

You pass through a redirect on this site and arrive at Amazon with our affiliate tag attached. Amazon uses that and its own cookies to attribute the visit. We never learn who you are or what you bought in any identifiable way.

How do I have my data deleted?

Email contact@shakeandprint.com and ask. The only data we hold that could identify you is a message you have sent us, and we will delete it. For analytics data, Google is the processor and its own tools govern deletion.
